It Started in a Backyard. With a Very Dirty Pool.

It started with a leaky skimmer.

A few summers ago, I was standing by my backyard pool, holding an old skimmer that was dripping water down my arm. Leaves at the bottom weren't budging. Inside, the kids were yelling: "Dad, can we swim yet?"

I lied: "Almost ready."

That's when it hit me: Why is maintaining a pool harder than enjoying one?

I'm an engineer. And a dad. I started looking at the pool cleaners on the market — some were too expensive, some too clunky, and some just didn't work. So I decided: I'll build one myself.

The first prototype came from my garage.

It was ugly. The casing was a little crooked. The battery was held on with duct tape. But dang — it actually sucked up sand from the bottom of the pool.

A neighbor asked: "Where'd you get that thing?"
I said: "You can't. Yet."
He said: "You should sell those."

That night, I registered the name PoolMr. Because the neighbors started calling me "that guy who makes pool gadgets" — Pool Mr.

From one machine to a full lineup

The first PoolMr was a handheld vacuum. Simple. Lightweight. Strong suction. Built for people who didn't want to wrestle with heavy equipment just to do a quick clean.

Then came the robotic series — so your pool could clean itself.
Then came the parts & accessories — so every PoolMr could last for years.

Today, PoolMr products are in backyards, Airbnbs, hotels, and community pools across the country. But every machine still carries a little bit of that garage prototype DNA:
